We provide educational information about Leap
Year and Leap Day to help adults, as well as
children,
understand this quadrennial day. We
provide rhymes and other fun ways of learning
about Leap Day,
and remembering how often February has 29 days.
We leave the meetings and get-togethers to other
groups and we provide information about how to
get
in contact with them on our Links Page and Party
Page.
We answer questions of our members and the media
alike. Our CLYDE page is quite helpful. And we
have the LEAP THIS shop, which sells LeapGear,
items with
a Leap Year Day theme.
One of the main things we provide is
understanding. We are the only ones who can
relate to what it is
like growing up and NOT seeing our birth date on
the calendar.
When we are young it is quite difficult to
understand the concept of time and how the
calendar flows.
Some children have joined the Honor Society
stating how they hate their birthday. So, we are
honored
to help
them
understand how cool our birth date really is.
It is so rewarding to help people, young and
old, understand the
importance of Leap Day and how cool
it is to be
born on a day that represents balance between the
calendar and the earth.
Below is a list of pages on our site that are
good starting places:

One of our goals is to get the attention
of
calendar companies so they can see how important
it is
to put the words LEAP DAY on the
calendar.
Most calendars do not have LEAP DAY written on
February 29. We think that needs to change.
Leap Day is
going to keep happening every four years. I say celebrate it!
It's everyone's extra day.
Do something good
with it. Do something for someone else on that
day.
Do something for you if
you're usually the one
doing for others.
Use your extra day wisely, it
only
happens once every four years so why not?
Please feel free to contact Peter or me,
Raenell, if you
would like more information from us.
Happy Leap Year!
