Both Peter and Raenell are "touched by adoption", and have experienced birth family reunions. We are both open to discussing this with anyone that is interested.

We've had a few questions over the years from people searching for people born on February 29th, or lost birth family members, so, as a service to the "leaper community," we offer this search registry.

How it works

If you are searching for someone born on Leap Day, or if you are born on Leap Day, and are searching for people that know something about your birth, then we will place a record here for you.

Contact Peter if you would like to post something in this registry, or if you have any questions about this registry and how it works.

Registry records

Each record has three parts, the known birth information, the the person (or group) conducting the search, and a contact.

If you see a record here that you want to know more about, you can email the contact person directly (if there is one), or you can contact Peter who will represent your questions (anonymously) to the contact person.

Role of Intermediary

The role of the intermediary is to communicate between parties, and to respect the privacy of all involved. Parties can remain anonymous if they want. The contact in a search may choose to work only via an intermediary.

An intermediary can be appointed, or, Peter will volunteer as your intermediary. Usually, it is best to work with an intermediary in initial contact, if nothing else than to provide support for the unexpected information that may be revealed. There is always a chance that you won't like what you find -- and that's hard to deal with alone.
